Verified accounts
A badge next to a LinkedIn, GitHub, X, Facebook or YouTube account means the person signed in to that platform from CredFolk and proved they own it.
A badge next to a website means the owner put a private code on that site, as a tag on its home page, a small file, or a DNS record.
Accounts without a badge were typed in by the member and haven't been checked.
Verified identity
A badge next to someone's name means they confirmed their identity with a government ID through our verification partner. We never see or store the ID itself, only the result.
Verified reviewers
Reviews from people with a verified identity count more towards the TrustScore.
What it doesn't mean
Verification confirms who someone is, not that they're good at what they do. That's what the reviews are for.
